trainee solicitor
Bree joined our team as a Kickstarter. The Kickstart Scheme was for people aged 16-24 who struggled to find work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Scheme contributed to the cost of setting up and employing a member of staff in a new role for 6 months and allowed candidates to take a college course alongside working in business.
Since joining Julie West Solicitors in September 2021 Bree has completed The Principles of Business Administration course at Nescot College (NFCE level 2) and been promoted from junior records to legal assistant to trainee solicitor. Congratulations Bree!
Training
Bree has always been diligent and hardworking. She was a prefect at The Warwick School, achieved distinction in all of her BTEC subjects at Reigate College (law, information technology and business) and completed her Law LLB with a 2:1 at London Southbank University at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before becoming more generalist in her training at university, Bree had a focus on criminal law. Her dissertation “To what extent is it fair to give defendants in rape cases anonymity, what human rights are affected and what part does the media play in this discussion?” was particularly well received earning her a top 2:1 grade.
Bree has just started the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route to qualification as a solicitor.
Outside the office
If you like cakes, you will love Bree as she is also a star baker who regularly brings treats to the office for everyone to enjoy.
